About TTU AIChE

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers is a national organization of professional engineers.  At Texas Tech University, the AIChE student chapter organizes a variety of activities for our members.  Some activities are aimed at professional development while others are recreational.  Our traditional activities include:

  • Monthly meetings with company reps to learn about career fields and relevant job skills for chemical engineers

  • Tailgates before TTU home games, frequently in conjunction with reps from AIChE sponsor companies

  • Annual camping trip to Palo Duro Canyon

  • Intramural sports through the campus rec center (football, softball, and soccer pending member interest)

  • Participation in regional and national AIChE student conferences including Chem E car and student paper competitions

  • In Spring 2006, TTU will host the Southwest Regional AIChE Student Conference (see our website)
